Bill Wright below Sister Superior
The day after climbing Ancient Art we went over by Castleton to the "solid" rock for a try at Jah Man on Sister Superior. This is another wild spire, the easiest route up this sucker (5.10+) is up the left side of the face you see (Jah Man).

This photo was taken after we completed the climb. The party behind us is indicated by the arrow, they are at the top of the third pitch.

THE END

The desert says nothing. Completely passive, acted upon but never acting, the desert lies there like the bare skeleton of Being, spare, sparse, austere, utterly worthless, inviting not love but contemplation ... There is something about the desert that the human sensibility cannot assimilate ... I am convinced now that the desert has no heart, that it presents a riddle which has no answer, and that the riddle itself is an illusion created by some limitation or exaggeration of the displaced human consciousness.
