Bob Williams cranks teles on Castle Peak, near Donner Summit, CA (2/85).

Bob Williams was one of my ski mentors and showed what was really possible on tele boards. Castle Peak, just north of Donner Summit, was a popular weekend playground for us. A popular tour goes to the Peter Grubb Hut, and from there you can ski up Castle Peak itself. This photo was taken on a steep slope off the trail to the Hut.
